This supposedly sensitive information contains IP addresses, fingerprints of devices, details about the wallet, session logs, and $907 million in XMR-related trades.

The Whitearmor ransomware group claims it stole user data from Wagyu.xyz, a cross-chain cryptocurrency swap platform. The group is currently demanding $5 million, and failure to pay will result in the release of the information.
The group has details of 38,628 orders & 10,139 IP addresses. The group also claims that the records contain information about wallets, session information, device fingerprints, countries, and $907 million in trading volume of XMR.
What the Group Claims
Whitearmor listed Wagyu.xyz on its leak site on October 27, 2026. The group says it obtained user and trading data from the platform.
The group says the stolen records include certain details such as IP addresses, fingerprints, wallet details, and session information. It also claims the data shows user countries and trading activity. Whitearmor demands $5 million in Bitcoin or Monero. It says it will leak all the data if Wagyu.xyz does not pay.
The group says it found samples from the alleged dataset. However, it has not publicly released enough evidence to confirm the full claim. The claim remains unverified. Wagyu.xyz has not publicly confirmed a breach or said whether it plans to pay the demand.
What Wagyu.xyz Does
Wagyu.xyz is a cross-chain swap platform. It lets users exchange cryptocurrencies for native Monero, also known as XMR. According to the platform claims, it does not require identity verification or KYC (Know Your Customer) from users. KYC refers to the verification of the identity of a user.
Wagyu.xyz sends the orders through the order book of Hyperliquid for the execution of the orders. An order book is a tool that records all buying and selling requests related to an asset. The platform concentrates on Monero, an anonymity-based cryptocurrency that does not reveal any information about the parties involved and the transaction.
The released data might potentially compromise users who performed some transactions privately. IP addresses and device fingerprints could link back online activity to a certain person or device.
Device fingerprint means a complex of characteristics and settings of the browser & device of a user. It may include such information like screen resolution, fonts, plug-ins, plus other settings.
Why the Claim Matters
IP addresses allow determining the general place or location of a user. Moreover, they can enable law enforcement agencies or even criminals to connect certain online actions with the respective ISP. Fingerprints are also useful for user identification and connecting various sessions of the same person, even when they change their IP address.
Wallet addresses provide information on the movement of money by the users. Experts are able to find wallet activity on the open blockchain. The group alleges that the leak contains data, such as $907 million worth of transactions in XMR. If verified to be true, the leak can shed light on many significant crypto transactions.
Further, the claim raises issues of user privacy as well for Monero users. This is because many people who use Monero want to keep their transaction information confidential.
The risks extend beyond individual platforms, as the closure of White House Market highlighted the limits of cryptocurrency privacy and operational security in the dark web ecosystem.
Nevertheless, even before a transaction begins, a site can still obtain all the necessary information regarding the user. Such details include their IP address, device data, & session activity.
What Users Should Do
Wagyu.xyz users need to be on the lookout for anything unusual in their cryptocurrency wallets. They shouldn’t click any links in messages they hadn’t been expecting about this service. Users shouldn’t share phrases for their wallets, private keys, or one-time codes. Real support reps never ask users for this kind of information.
It is important that they create strong and unique passwords for their accounts. Using two-factor authentication is also a recommended security practice. They might also need to install a privacy-focused web browser; this way, they can avoid using the same wallet with multiple online organizations.
The Whitearmor announcement does not prove that Wagyu.xyz experienced a breach. Still, it shows why crypto companies should take good care of user information as well. Platforms should limit data collection, encrypt stored records, & controlled access to critical systems. In addition, they must analyze downloads and logins for any suspicious activity.
